Copyright & DMCA
Last updated: March 19, 2026
Hijack respects intellectual property rights. This page describes how to submit copyright complaints under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and related inquiries. Our Terms of Service govern use of the Services.
If you are not in the United States, local copyright or IP procedures may also apply. This process is informational and does not waive any rights or defenses.
What we host
The Services are primarily an intelligence and investigation platform. Users may submit queries or content; third-party integrations may return data from external sources. We do not control all information returned by third parties. Regardless, we will address valid DMCA notices that meet legal requirements where they relate to material we control or store.
DMCA takedown notice requirements
If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent (below) that includes substantially the following (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):
- Your physical or electronic signature (or that of a person authorized to act for the copyright owner)
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to find it (for example URLs, account identifiers, descriptions, and timestamps)
- Your contact information (address, telephone, email)
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use is not authorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner
Counter-notice
If you believe material was removed by mistake, you may send a counter-notification that complies with 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). We may restore content in accordance with applicable law.
Repeat infringers
We may terminate accounts of repeat infringers where appropriate under our policies and applicable law.
