Copyright & DMCA

Hijack, the operator of hijack.gg, respects intellectual property rights. This page explains how to submit copyright complaints under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and how Hijack handles related inquiries. Our Terms of Service govern use of the Services.
If the law of a country other than the United States applies to your claim, follow that law's copyright procedure. This process does not waive any right or defense.
Material covered by this process
The Services are an intelligence and investigation platform. Users can submit queries or content, and third-party integrations can return information from external sources. Hijack does not control material hosted by an independent provider. This process applies to material that Hijack stores, displays, or controls.
DMCA notice requirements
A copyright owner or authorized agent who believes material controlled by Hijack infringes a work can send a written notice containing the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized agent
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to locate it, such as a URL, account identifier, description, and timestamp
- The complaining party's name, physical address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and that the sender is the owner or authorized to act for the owner
A notice that omits information required by § 512(c)(3) can delay review. Hijack can request clarification before taking action.
Counter-notice
A user who believes material was removed or disabled by mistake can send a counter-notification containing the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). Hijack will process a complete counter-notice under the DMCA and applicable law.
Repeat infringement
Hijack can suspend or terminate an account when the account holder repeatedly infringes copyright or repeatedly submits materially false notices. We will apply this rule consistently with applicable law and the Terms of Service.
